Shoals Christian School is a K4-12th grade, college preparatory, non-denominational Christian school located in Florence, Alabama, on the northern bank of the beautiful Tennessee River in a quad-city area known as "The Shoals."  Shoals Christian provides families in the Shoals area a distinctively Christian educational opportunity emphasizing the pursuit of excellence in character, academic achievement and service to Christ and others.

Dual-accredited by Cognia, which accredits public schools, and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), which accredits Christian schools, Shoals Christian maintains rigorous academic standards and prepares all of our students for success in college following high school. Our students score well above the state and national averages on the ACT and receive millions of dollars in academic and leadership-based college scholarships each year.  Since its founding, Shoals Christian graduates have gone on to attend colleges, universities and graduate programs throughout the nation and around the world.

Incorporated in 1997 by the merging of two schools sponsored by Christ Chapel and Woodmont Baptist Church, Shoals Christian was founded in order to provide a non-denominational approach to Christian education. We welcome students from a variety of Bible believing churches and denominations with a current student body population representing more than 53 local churches.

The Shoals Christian approach to kingdom education focuses on nurturing a deep and abiding faith walk for each of our students.  Small class sizes allow our teachers to develop a personal relationship with each student and truly understand their various personalities. Our committed faculty and staff seek to work in partnership with our families to provide each student an opportunity to develop his or her strengths and talents. The nurturing, faith-filled environment at Shoals Christian endeavors to build a strong foundation that empowers students to serve God courageously and joyfully, thus equipping students to fulfill God's calling on their lives. Our prayer is for each student to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and, upon graduation, know what they believe, why they believe it, and to be able to defend their beliefs with gentleness and respect. (I Peter 3:15)

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect."
