As Headmaster, I thank you for expressing interest in Shoals Christian School. Our approach to Christian schooling is the integration of biblical principles throughout the curriculum. The cornerstone of Shoals Christian School is the positive relationship between students and teachers. Our faculty serves not only as teachers but also as mentors. Working together, we pursue truth and knowledge from a Christ-centered worldview.

At SCS, our purpose is to combine head knowledge with heart knowledge as we seek to develop the total child. Our students are challenged in a rigorous academic setting and encouraged by healthy peer and adult relationships. We strive to stretch our students in their thinking skills and assist them in the process of accepting ownership of their faith.

The journey through our website will answer, as well as stimulate, further questions. Is Christian schooling merely a refuge from the current culture? Is it possible to teach students to engage the culture without becoming part of it? What is the role of intellectual development in a Christ-centered environment?
