Steps to Admission for NEW STUDENTS

Thank your for your interest in Shoals Christian School! We look forward to getting to know you and your student and helping you determine if SCS is the best fit for your family. 

Start the application process with a visit to our campus, either by personal tour or at one of our Open Houses. We want you to meet our faculty and see our students in action. Schedule your visit by calling Admissions Director Didi Vardaman at 256-767-7070, ext. 215 or via email: d.vardaman@shoalschristian.org.

1. Complete and return an application online for each student with a $75 nonrefundable application fee.  Character and behavioral references will be requested and contacted as part of the application. Click here for Online Application. To return to a saved application click here.

2. For students entering grades 2-12, Submit the following academic records:

  • Two most recent report cards
  • Standardized test scores

3. ​New students applying (rising grades 3-12) may be required to successfully complete admissions testing deemed necessary by an administrator as a condition of acceptance and enrollment. You will be notified if this is the case for your student(s).                                                                                                           

4. An Admissions family interview will be scheduled by Administrative Assistant, Cheryl Gunnells. Call the school office at 256-767-7070 or email Ms. Gunnells at c.gunnells@shoalschristian.org to set up this appointment. After the interview, you will be notified via email of the Admission Committee decision.

If your student is accepted for enrollment, you will receive a welcome email with further instructions.

5. Once accepted for admission, the registration fee and new family fee become due. Please also submit the following:

  • Copy of student’s birth certificate
  • Copy of student's social security card
  • Current original Alabama immunization record (blue card)
  • Signed Financial Policies Form (print from online application login), sign it, indicating your preferred tuition payment plan

Bring this to the office with your registration fee and meet with Angeline Strawbridge, Business Manager.

This enrolls your student in school and assures them a place in their class.

*Re-enrollment for CURRENT students is completed through RenWeb each spring. You will receive an email notifying you when the re-enrollment period begins.
Login to your ParentsWeb account and "re-enrollment." Follow the prompts on each page to complete enrollment, choose your payment plan, print the financial contract and bring it to the office.
